Film “Cyborgs” is the first Ukrainian cinematic reflection on the war with Russia in the east of the country. The film tells the story of the fierce battles for Donetsk Airport, which became a symbol of the resilience of Ukrainian soldiers. The movie is based on real events – each character has a real-life prototype. In addition, both professional actors and actual participants of the battles for the airport appear in the film, helping to portray the characters more authentically. It is worth noting that the creators did not aim to make a propaganda film with ready-made answers, but rather to raise painful and important questions.
At the center of the story are six soldiers who head to the airport for combat duty. For the whole country, they are “cyborgs.” But what does it mean to be a cyborg? On screen, we see ordinary Ukrainians of different ages who speak different languages, yet share one goal – to live in a new Ukraine. They have made their choice and are ready to fight the enemy and go all the way.

Since mid-January 2022, supporters of Ukraine have gathered every weekend at Balboa Park for rallies, calling on the world to Stand With Ukraine against russian aggression. After the full-scale invasion began, we made a promise — to ourselves and our community — to continue gathering every weekend until Ukraine is once again free and peaceful.
This Ukrainian Awareness Rally is not only about raising awareness that the war is still ongoing, but also about honoring the bravery and resilience of those who have sacrificed everything for Ukraine’s freedom. It is a celebration of the unyielding spirit of its people.
russia’s war on Ukraine remains the largest war in Europe since World War II — a war marked by genocide, countless war crimes, and the systematic destruction of Ukraine’s infrastructure. Millions have been displaced, and Ukraine now remains resilient in the reality of scheduled blackouts as its energy systems are relentlessly targeted.
Our weekly rally is a call to action — a reminder that the fight for Ukraine’s freedom continues. Join us in standing together, believing in Ukraine, and keeping its struggle in the global spotlight.
Together, we stand. Together, we resist. Together, we prevail.
Together to VICTORY!
